Frequently Asked Questions
Is Doctor Schaffner contracted with insurance?
Dr. Christine is not contracted with insurance providers. However, we can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, and reimbursement cannot be guaranteed.
Are follow up appointments the same cost as the initial appointment?
Dr. Christine's consultation rate is $700 USD per hour.
Initial and follow-up appointments are billed based on the time spent. Most follow-up appointments are approximately 90 minutes, though appointment length varies based on individual needs.
Are lab tests and prescriptions covered by insurance?
For prescriptions, we can try a local pharmacy where you can utilize your insurance, in some cases some prescriptions are compounded in which most compounding pharmacies do not utilize insurance and will be an out of pocket expense.
For Labwork, you may take your lab requisition to any lab your insurance is in network with to complete, your lab prior to completing the labs should be able to confirm if your insurance will cover the recommended labs.
Does Dr. Christine treat children?
Yes. Dr. Christine sees pediatric patients who are developmentally able to participate in and follow treatment recommendations. Please contact our office to discuss whether your child is an appropriate candidate.
How do I schedule appointments?
After your discovery call, our patient care coordinator will help you schedule your initial consultation and any recommended follow-up appointments.
Is there a cancellation list?
Yes. If you'd like to be seen sooner, we can add you to our cancellation list and will contact you if an earlier appointment becomes available.
